Hi,
I am currently driving a 98 Wrangler but am considering selling up and buying a classic as a daily driver. The car must be reliable, safe (I have a 2yr old), RHD and reasonably good on petrol.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Andrew. :p

Hi Andrew.
I'm just curious why you'd want a classic car for daily driving?
My idea of classic cars would be that they'd be more suitable for just driving at the weekend, or perhaps if you only have a very short distance to drive every day.
Would it not be right to say that the older a car is, then the less safe and reliable its going to be? When I say less safe, I don't mean to say that classic cars aren't safe; its in respect to newer cars being more solid and having better crash protection systems such as airbags and curtains, side impact bars, abs, ebd, crumple zones, headrests etc. I know I'd much prefer my 18 month old son to be driven around in a newer car that faired good in crash tests than in a 20+(?) year old car.
Anyways, I suppose there has to be something that fits the bill here, but exactly what that is, and how close it comes to your needs, well only an expert can tell you that.
Perhaps Paul Kanters might have one or two suggestions to make....
Let us know anyhow if you have any luck finding one!

Try a VW, there are several bodies to choose from and they all can be made quick for niminal amounts of money.
Wher i live i am lucky as there are many older vehicles because over here they don't rust. VWs rule.
