I been hearing some type of Chirping noise coming from the front of my car which sounds kinda like metal on metal. I have a 98 Chev. Metro and It makes the noise shortly after I start my car and is more apparent in the morning and Night and only when I am pressing the gas petal and it stops when I let go of it and starts immedately when I press it again. But it will only do this for a short time and then stops. Any help on what this might be would be a tramendous help Thanks.

Hi there,
A few questions, what is a 98 Chev. Metro, what size, type car is it, what type of engine has it, is it fuel injected? I assume it is petrol, not diesel?
You say it is more apparent in the morning and night, when do you use your car? Is it usually started and driven when the engine is cold or does it get a chance to warm up? Where are you live? whats the climate like? Is it very cold in the morning/at night?

The car is a compact car, with a four cylinder engine, it is fuel injected and runs on gasoline. I use my car all throughout the day morning, day and night. I drive roughly 70 miles a day around town and I live in the Desert in Arizona, USA.
