Ford Focus, 4/2000: 1.8 TDi Ghia. Manual.
As I'm driving, the glow plug light will light up, and the engine will cut out. After stopping and turning the engine off, the engine will start. If I carry on driving again, the same thing happens shortly afterwards.
Is this the Engine Management Unit shutting the engine to stop any further damage?
Are the glow plugs the problem? Should I change them?
Nb. The engine was not cold when it happened. I was on the M25, for about an hour, doing a steady 70-75mph all the way when it happened.
Any ideas please??
