Help ME :)

Well lads. I have a 1.4 seat ibiza and i wanna put something in a GTI engine into it . I have 2 questions really

1) What kind of GTI engine would fit into my car without too much complications and what kind of complications will i run into.

2)If it is going to be extremely complicated do u know a mechanic that will do it for me coz none will give me a straight answer and no one seems to want to do it for me.

As you said yourself, this'll be complicated.

I think the biggest complication you're gonna run into, is to get the engine to match with the tranny 100%. Otherwise you'll blow the tranny and now you're in the hole for another couple of thousand bucks.

I'd sugest picking a seat engine from another model that is already fitted to your type of transmission (i.e the one that you have in your car already)

A lot of manufacturers use common parts/components among different models of their cars, so you may be lucky and find another model of Seat which uses a GT engine but is also utilizing the same tranny model as your car.

As for a mechanic, I know plenty of them who'd do it for you but you'd have to ship the car to California :D
