Pre-Registered Cars [Archive]

Hi all,
Was watching Top Gear last night and they were talking about the great deals you can get on Pre-Registered cars over in England. Does anyone know is the same possible here? or is our market too small for that kind of thing?

I’m not sure what you’d categorise as a ‘Pre-Registered Cars’? Would these be the same as demo cars?

Not sure if it’s the same thing, put Citroen currently have discounts off new C5’s and Xara’s. I think that Fiat also have some type of promotion running too. AFAIK, both run until 31 Jan. [/END ADVERT]

Oh yeah, forgot to mention - if you’re buying anything > 1900 cc and less then 2000 cc, which basically covers a lot of Turbo Diesels eg VAG 1.9 diesels, then you’d also save a couple of grand on the VRT, not to mention the additional 1% VAT. Thing is you have to weigh up is that worth a fictional “year-old reg”?
