Jordan have announced today that Mike Gascoyne is to leave the team at the end of his contract in July 2001.Also Honda have announced that they are going to sell off Mugen.Doesn't look too good for Jordan does it.They don't have a major manafacturers engine and their cheif designer is leaving.
He's rumoured to be joining Renault as they want to hit the ground running in 2002.

Jordan currently have a lot of work on their hands if they want to retain their third place in the Constructors. They now have to contend with BAR, who are using a new Honda and have the input of a recent former world champion, and also of Williams, who along with their association with BMW and two gutsy young drivers look very strong indeed. The Jordan car itself appears to be nearly reliable, if only that could get that gearbox sorted out. Also their race tactics need a bit more flair and ingenuity. Isn’t it true that the Jordan car is best at the later stages of the season, where the car suits the later tracks better (or is that some else)? Whatever they do, it would want to be quick!
