I heard about DC's plane crash on the radio yesterday evening on the way home and couldn't believe my ears  . He was very lucky to escape uninjured considering both the pilot and co-pilot were killed. These Lear jet's appear to be a bit dodgy at best. Sure wasn't it only last year that Eddie Irvine's Lear jet also had to perform an emergency landing after one of the jet's windows imploded? I think its about time I sold mine ;)

Missed the news last night and knew nothing of the accident that David had. Could'nt belive my eyes when I read the article in eforecourts formula one news section.

Lookly guy, lookly guy. He had no problem then getting into another plane, and he'll be racing on sunday. He must have nerves of steel.

Yes indeed Coulthard is one lucky camper.Did you see the state of the plane on the news.
It was fairly wrecked looking.
These Lear Jets do appear to be very dodgy.
We've all heard about numerous incidents involving them in recent years.
I'll be putting mine in the Buy&Sell as fast as I can.

I don't think it's actually as much the plane's fault but more a consequence of the "2nd hand Private Plane Market".
These private jets are usually on their 4th or 5th owner (or more), often bought by wealthy people on a whim. Unfortunately they are not always cared for a good as they should be, the novelty wears off, the costs of owning and maintaining and parking them is so high, that the original purchase price pales into insignificance. So they are sold on again to the next hapless 'victim'... until it literally drops out of the sky
The fact that it always seems to be a Lear Jet, is because the Lear Jet has always been the no.1 private jet.
