Has anyone used any of the Meguiar's range of car care products, or have they even arrived on our shores yet? They seem to be getting rave reviews from Auto Express and other magazines.

Seems to be a great brand. Its available in my local shop. Dunboyne Autoparts. Great bloke called Michael owns it. Good shop for anything to do with the car.........
That's my plug for him now. There used to be www.meguiarsireland.com which sold online. Out of Kildare I think. The email still seems to work: info@
Go for it and let us know what you think.

Was trained by one of the family years ago.
Great for consumers, easy to use, a bit outdated on some things, but nothing harmful.
They are losing ground in the professional world, but only because they chose to go after the bigger volume of enthusists, mass market.
As far as a magazine saying how great any product is, first look at the three previous issues, and the three that come after the one you read.
If a company that they say has great products is buying a lot ad space, you may wish to be a bit less enthusiastic, for money does funny things to business people.

I was reading a UK mag called GT monthly (I think) - a purely porsche magazine. The current issue has a big section on how to use Zymol. And there in the middle of the magazine is a half-page ad for Zymol.
Money Talks! But it don't sing and dance and it don't wax !!!
Old Neil Diamond song there, from when he used to work on cars.
......I know.....stick to the day job!

Marketing dollars, the way that the public, the car owners, are not aware of even how to properly change oil, keep their tires inflated, it is easy for the marketing group to send ad dollars and influence owners to purchase products which may or not be, correct.
What we do, as you know, is to provide true technical input, information, but most, and I mean most, vehicle owners are looking for some "magic" potion, and will not spend the time to consider the technical data, the "why's and why fores" of taking care of their finishes.
That is why you are in business, to correct their mistakes, to solve the problems they create by their buying into the "mass market" hype.
