Poor quality of RTE transmission

Has anyone noticed a huge difference in quality between the reception of the RTE and ITV coverage of the F1 GP's recently? OK, so you're there listening to Murray on ITV rabbiting on about a mirage he's seeing, Bundle correcting him and missing some of the action, and Louise down in the pits brushing her long locks of golden hair, and bam, the dreaded adverts hit your TV yet again. So you hesitantly reach for the remote to switch over to RTE and cringe when you hear the dreary Peter Collins.

But hang on a second, the picture’s kinda fuzzy, that Orange Arrows car isn’t so orange any more, and the Jodan car looks like a Minardi, or is it a Minardi that looks like a Jodan? Well I haven’t got a clue because the picture quality is ****e! And as for the sound, it sounds like they’re talking down a bad telephone line and have cotton wool stuck in their mouths. What’s the phuck is the story with RTE’s transmission? Is it just my TV reception or have other people noticed this big difference in quality too? :(

I have to agree with you whippy. http://www.eforecourt.com/UBB/disgust.gif The quality of sound is poor to say the least. The interesting thing I notice about Network 2 was that when the adds came on ITV and I went across to Network 2, they total repeated what Brundel had said word for word.
What's that all about. Don't tell me they have someone watching ITV to try and get some decent content!! :confused:

It's a pity about Network 2. So come on Network 2 and get your finger out and do something about the bad overall feeling coming from you broadcast.
