Hi,

I have a black car and today I found a BIG patch of bird **** at the back of my boot and I think it has been there for a few hours. When I tried wiping it off .. what I did was to spray a wash and wax and let it soak for a few minutes and started to wipe it off.... However even after I got all the bird **** off there were stains in my car ..... :( where the bird **** has been .. i tried using Paint Renovator from AutoGlym but to no avail ... anyone has any good suggestions?

DId I do wrong by letting it soak with those wash and wax stuff... Its those spray out of the bottle type...

This used to be such a civilised forum. Now people using the word "****" in my section!!
Kids these days!

Sounds like the paint has been etched. Droppings can have a strong pH level and sometimes you just get the mother of all ****s landing on you.

Okay, at this stage without seeing a photo or seeing it in person, I can only recommend that you get it to either a bodyshop or a valet shop who will be able to polish it out with a high-speed polisher. If the paint renovator isn't working, that would be the next course of action.

The wash & wax stuff would not have been the correct way to tackle the problem. Simple washing is what was needed but I don't think you would have added to the damage by using it

Hope this helps! Its a perfect example to the rest of you to use a good wax in future!!

What about using a 'cutting compound' ie Farclea G3 or G4

Then a good wax with Meguires/Blue Coral etc....
