My sister in law has a Peugeot 206 diesel and the other day she had taken it in for its MOT, the guy there said that it was revving up and would not stop.

The car was still under warranty so the car was taken back to where it was bought.

They inspected the car and said they would not fix it under warranty as there was too much oil in the car. But the guy in the MOT station said that the oil was fine.

Does any one know how much oil it would take to cause this kind of problem

Please help

It would probably take a hell of a lot of oil. It is not clear whether oil has caused that problem or not. Chances are, it is NOT to an overfilled crank case.

Besides, when going for service, it's probably a better idea to go back to the dealer, so if they screw something up, they're the one responsible for it. Although they do charge an arm and a leg.

Best of luck!
