View Full Version : Why trucks and other large (slow) vehicles annoy me!

OK, so I don't exactly drive a fast car that go from 0-60 in under 7 seconds. But to get this annoyed I don't need to http://www.eforecourt.com/UBB/evil.gif. God damn trucks, long vehicles, buses, tractors, they're all in my way! Move over you slow b'stards. Get out of my way. Let me pass. Get the hell off the roads, you slow slimy gits http://www.eforecourt.com/UBB/angryfire.gif. On dual-carriageways and the such, I suggest that it should be made law that these vehicles must stay in the left hand lane, and allow all other traffic (except for Sunday drivers) to pass. I mean, they head into the fast (sorry, overtaking) lane to pass someone slower, and proceed to pass at about one inch a minute. I say all such vehicles should be banned from entering the right hand side lane. Stop holding up the bucking traffic, ya gobsh1tes

Further to that, I'd also like to add that these lorry drivers appear to be getting less road friendly. There was a day where the majority would move in to the left (if there was the space) and allow you to pass. Not any more, I'm afraid. :(

I bet you make faces at them like all your new smilie toys. I'm not surprised. I know one truck driver who amuses himself by watching people behind him stick their heads out the window with painful expressions on. Just relax, cruise, you'll get there eventually.

I think there should be a law that said that the vehicles should have enough motor to move along at minimum 2/3rds of the posted speed limit up 8% inclines (maximum allowed on new main roads throughout Europe, I think) when fully loaded. Some trucks have so much power, they can easily keep 60mph up pretty serious hills, even loaded. Of course, they will guzzle diesel at a rate of about 1mpg, but at least there won't be a lot of angry drivers behind :D

The worst thing about these a-holes, is that they NEVER lift off the throttle, no matter how dangerous the situation a desperate driver trying to pass has gotten himself into http://www.eforecourt.com/UBB/disgust.gif

The lorries and trailers are vital if we want to have merchandise to buy in our groceries at al, but they could be fitted with powerful engines and help faster traffic to move ahead.

Guys,
There's no point bitching about truck drivers as it's a fact of life that they are plentifull on the roads and as long as they're not coasting they don't have to pull into the hard shoulder to allow cars to pass.
What often happens when they do is that cars keep passing them out not allowing them to get off the hard shoulder which can be dangerous on bends and the like as there are often vechicles parked in the hard shoulder.
Nobody should have a problem with a truck on a dual carraigeway. You may get held up for a minute at most but life is not that short.
