alright, its an 86 toyota celica, 2.4, auto
when i turn it over either it starts after a while or turns over till the battery runs out.
if it starts and i accelerate too rapidly it splutters or stalls.
its starts in a second if i have just taken it off the charger.
runs better when hot and starts easily when hot but does stall in locked turns or at slow speed.

battery runs down quickly, battery point are clean and tight, dizzy cap has been cleaned and checked for cracks.

one of my mates said fuel pump.. some of the other forums suggest bad plugs, leads, coil, dizzy etc.
any help???

Definitely sounds like the charging system. I'd have that alternator checked out asap. And also if your model has a voltage regulator that is installed outside the alternator (in some models voltage regulator is actually inside the alternator), I'd have it checked too.
