Car won't start

My friend has a 1990 Mazda Protege and all of a sudden it stopped running. He said that it worked fine the day before but now it won't even start. When he turns the ignition, he doesn't even get a sound, but the battery is fine. He said that everything that is supposed to run on the battery works fine. Even if he just turns the ignition to accessory, everything turns on. Any ideas?

I'd check the starter first. That's the rather common issue!

Also, in some models, the starter has a "wire fuse" attached to it (the wire that goes to the starter) which may have been burned. You have to verify whether that fuse is intact if it exists.
