Tyre Wear

The front tyres on my 89 vw golf mkII wear out quicker on the inside than on the outside also there is some slight vibration through the steering wheel at higher speeds, I am told this could be the tracking or balancing is this correct or could there be another reason. Cheers buddies

Yeah, sounds like front-end is worn out. One symptom of your tracking being out of whack, is the outside of tires wearing out quicker than the inside. Also the vibration would probably be caused by the wheeels being out of balance.

If you experience the same symptoms after fixing those two issues, I'd look at new idler arm and/or shocks next.
