Can anyone please tell me the correct tyre pressures for a 89 vw golf mkII 1.3 as the lists in the petrol station do not seem to list my year, thanks.
Also if anybody has a vw golf mkII 1.3 you might find it usefull to know that the clocks in the 1.6 golf drivers go straight into the 1.3 with no additional wiring so you loose the boring clock and gain a rev meter and a cooler digital clock.

The correct pressure of each tire, is listed on the outer sidewall of the tire itself.
For passenger cars you will notice that a vast majority take 35 psi (114 kpa). The VW should be around the same. You will be able to find this number in the fineprint on the sidewall of your tire and you don't need to worry about what the car manufacturer has to say.
Good luck with that.

About the clocks I mean! I have a Golf Driver 1.6. Have you had many probs with your Golf given it's age. Mine sounds really "tinny" for want of a better description when I start up but apart from that it's fine.

No major problems so far execpt for minor ones like tracking and heater fan replacement, what year is your golf. Do you find the suspension quite hard. 1.6 driver a good choice..
