ReeVu MX1 - A new rear view helmet

Here's something I heard about recently. Its a new helmet that allows the wearer to see behind them!

A series of mirrors bends light from the back of the helmet, around the top and through to a small mirror just above eye level.

So what do you think? Would bikers think this is a good advancement in safety, or is it just a gimmick?

I guess I'd have to see it to believe it. Depends alot on the view it offers. I'd hazard a guess that anything mounted on the helmet would give quite a shaky view...

Am I right in saying, that this is only for bikes, and not for motor bikes?

I wonder will this make cyclists safer on the road?

I suppose we will have to just wait and see....

Lets hope this makes them more aware whats behind on the road.
