In another thread on this forum, we are discussion the pros and cons of Classic Cars, which takes us to the point as to when a Classic Car could be considered as a Classic Car?
When do you think does a car become a Classic Car. Is it an age thing, or would you rather look at it from the perpective that the car should be in a league of its own, because it unique, or offers a unique concept.
So would you see for example the Audi Quatro as a Classic Car, or the Range Rover.

To me the term 'Classic Cars' conjures up pictures of old memorable cars which were either ground braking for their era, or were simply driven by the elitest and dreamed of by the ordinary working man. I suppose the original Audi Quattro might be envisaged as being a 'Classic Car', but maybe it needs a few more years to 'age' into a fine old vintage.

When it won't start when its poor little carbs are wet, when its crumple zone includes you, when you leave the exhaust behind you on a run to the shops and when you get that "here comes another one" look of anticipation down at the "restorer" who is calculating the margin on importing that oh so special and one off Aston Martin crankshaft and setting the price by reference to your perceived ability to pay :p
