Hey Guys
I recently bought a Golf 1.9 standard diesel with 24 mths nct on it. 3 weeks later i had to replace the rear shocks coz they had hammered through the headplate?? The breakdisks are worn below limit and the engine is burning oil like diesel.
A mechanic i know for years recommended a second hand engine and a set of breakdisks of course. That makes sense, but what about the nct guys, how could that car ever get the test, and more important has anyone ever taken the nct guys up on the errors they produce??? can it be done??
Anyhow, if anyone of you has a good diesel engine to spare maybe even a tdi (does it fit???) please let me know.
