I am trying to change the rear pivot bushes on my ’93 Escort Hatchback. I have removed the pivot bolt each side and dropped down the trailing axle arm. However I cant get the old bush out. Has anyone here changed them before and got a technique for getting them out?
Thanks

Don't know the exact bushes you're referring to ... but this works for most bushes you're not going to reuse:
Cut them in half. Use a small drill bit, cutter, hot wire, or whatever you can, and cut the bush in half. You should then be able to take each half out.
It might sound dodgy, but the best thing for getting the new one back in is KY Jelly! :D It's water based, so won't damage the bush.

i couldnt get them out. Tried drilling but it did not make it any easier. Ended up getting the garage to do it :(
