92 escort fuel problems

my 92 escort cabriolet recently ran low on fuel and now refuses to start...it has been topped up on fuel since and it still won't go!...it is immobilised but i'm not sure wether the immobiliser cuts off or regulates the fuel supply!...or perhaps it might have a cut off switch somewhere like in the granada...i have no idea...please could u help!?!?!?

Are you getting fuel to the cylinders?

If not trace it back to see where you can get fuel, and that'll find you the source of your problem.

A friend of mine had an XR4i which he ran out of fuel, and the fuel pump killed itself by sucking in air (it needed to be fully immersed to stop itself dieing). Maybe you have a similar design.
