Anyone here into or restoring a Firebird or Trans Am ?

:)
Mmmmmmmm,
Now that's what I'm talking about. Once I get rid of my wife, my kids, and my mortgage.....
Of course by then I'll be in my mid to late 60's or dead. And every T.A. will have rusted into the ground by then.....
But, I suppose, in 30 or so years time my Punto will be a classic...

In 30 years time any Italian car will be a fizzlling pile of rust! :)
And judging by the number of Punto's we've had through the 'Online Mechanic' forum recently none of them will still be running in 30 years time! :D

Thanks for the link. Others can confirm or deny this, but it seems like all the Trans Ams exported to Europe, UK, Australia etc in 1977-79 were all equipped with the 185 bhp Oldsmobile 403 (6.6 litre) V8 and 3 speed auto. They were also lavishly equipped with air conditioning. In the homemarket it was possible to order a Trans Am with a more powerful 6.6 motor and a 4 speed manual, and fewer luxuries. The Olds 403 / automatic combination was for Californian Trans Ams, other combinations were not allowed because of pollution laws.
