undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedive just bought a 97 ford ka and what a heart breaker it has been it keeps stalling and jumps all over the place ive had it put on a machine which said the idle air control and the thortle sensor was faulty i replaced the 2 parts and surprise surprise not change im at my wits end as i really cant afford to pay for any more garage fees HELPPPPPPPPPP

I would say that it is those two parts which would cause the symptoms you describe .... if replacing them didn't help, then there might be a wiring fault ...

ive had it back at the garage and ive been told now it has to be the catalytic coverter as this is the only other thing it can be so its booked in tomorrow to see :clown: i miss my 93 106 it may have been bashed but it never lot me down in the 3 yrs i had it :freak: ....my ka had been of the rd for about a yr before i bought it so hopefully ill soon be motoring again...
Be careful. If the Cat is the problem then ok, but if its been ruined by another problem and that isnt cured then the new cat will go faulty quickly also. If thats the case it will not be covered by its guarantee and could be an expensive repeat needed.
If garage is convinced its the problem, ask them to guarantee the cat if it is not the problem. Then you'll know how confident they are.

well its not the cat they said it was working 100% so im no further forward i drove the car last nite about 60 miles no probs at all so i cant understand it my boyfriend said poss the gargae taking working at the cat cured it but i dont noford said £48 an hr to look at it which i cant afford does any 1 know where the choke sensors at in a ka or if there is one :cool:
