banging under steering wheel

hi sorry.

its a vauxhall corsa. 1.7 diesel wiv a 51 plate. its like a banging, thumping and vibrating. when i go over a ditch or a hole or speed bump it makes a loud noise. at high speeds it will constantly bang + vibrate. the clutch is constantly clicking aswell so i dunno if that has anything to do with it??

any ideas???

I'm not quite sure how old your vauxhall is based on a "51 plate", but it may be due to a number of things. But most of all, I'd check the control arm as it may be worn out and may eed replacing.

It'd be reasonably recent .... within the last few years ...

It's what I'd call a "new" car .... but then i do drive one that's older than i am! :)
