fm radio on 00 Yaris

I was driving along a the radio on fm has stopped working, there is sound but reception is very poor/ noisy

Your antenna has most likely been detached from the deck. It's possibly cut or damaged somewhere along the way, or it has been unplugged from the back of the unit possibly due to vibration etc...
