VW polo 2000 1.6

Above car suffers from hesitation when changing gear upwards or on overrun.
Will sometimes cut out at idle but not always.

Used to only happen as car was warming up but is now all the time.

Didn't think that that was the spirit of this forum.

Have other contacts in the trade and will pick their brains if my ideas dont work out. Was just hoping for some pointers other experienced people may have had is all.

Quite right. This forum exists so that people can seek advice about problems they are experiencing with their motor. People can then take this advice into consideration or leave it. We make no guarantees of any advice or suggestions given - its a free service after all.

There's nothing wrong giving free advice, and its certainly one way to get yourself known out there, especially if you are in the business and it wins you some new customers along the way. However its certainly not a place to be confused with free business advertising though, especially if you are not willing to give something in return.

The bottom line is, this is meant to be a friendly forum, and we don't want to see anyone's suggestions or knowledge being belittled. It is important to remember that there is no way of knowing whether anyone is indeed correct or not with their advice. If you think a suggestion is incorrect, then give your own opinion on the discussion at hand. No one should be posting with a derogatory tone, and if they do then they are not welcome on these boards.

Now lets all get on together and back to the helpful posts please :)
