I drive a 00 VW Polo & there is green algae growing on all the window rubber seals. What can i do to prevent this from reoccuring & to remove it. :)

Sorry for the delay.

This is a common problem. Most likely, there is a film of dirt on the rubber and the algae is growing and thriving there, especially in wet weather. Best thing to do is give the seals a good scrub with a light mix of mild car shampoo and warm water. An old stiff toothbrush is great for getting at awkward places. Once it is squeaky clean again, apply some water-based rubber dressing and it should all look great again. To prevent it from re-occurring, the only way is to keep it clean.

Cheers,

Let it grow I say! A few hanging baskets from the wing mirrors would set the whole thing off beautifully in my opinion. Everyone gives out about the damage done to the environment by cars, I think Mada should stand up and show how he is giving a little back.

Say it loud, I'm green and I'm proud!! :D
