Home Phone - Eircom, Tele2, or Smart Telecom

Has anyone changed their home phone from Eircom to Tele2 or Smart Telecom? If so have you actually reduced the cost of your phone bill? Or has it increased?

From what I can see, Tele2 is more expensive than Eircom Gold! Smart charges are currently the same as Eircom Gold, except there is no max spending limit for the Smart rates.

Additionally if you are a Smart Telecom customer then they say that you can phone another Smart customer for free, any time of day! This leaves me wondering - whats the catch, or is there one?

I have used both Tele2 aMd smart, didn't find tele2 any cheaper than eircom and smart have terrible customer service, they have closed their office in Cork now so that doesn't look too good I am currently using a company called Symphony and find they are much cheaper
