Dunlop Motorsport Ireland Young Driver of the Year Eoin Murray has signed for top Italian team ‘PRS Group’ to contest the 2005 European Alfa Romeo Challenge. Team PRS Group won the European Alfa Romeo constructors championship in 2004 and speaking at the signing Team Owner Oriano Agostini said ‘’ we have well developed plans to retain our championship in 2005 and signing Eoin is a crucial part of our plan. He raced with us last year and given his outright speed and professional approach he was top of our drivers list for this year. Naturally it takes time to negotiate agreements such as this but we are delighted to have signed Eoin at last and now we start work in earnest’’

Eoin who took five podiums out of eleven races in 2004 also had two wins and set lap records at both Valencia and Magny Cours. Speaking at the signing with PRS Group he paid tribute to the job which the team did in 2004 and expressed his delight at having signed for them again in 2005. ‘’We worked well together last year and although it was my first year racing in Europe and learning the new tracks the team did a magnificent job. I feel confident going into the new season and we are hopeful of achieving even better results this year’’

The European Alfa Romeo challenge consists of eleven rounds over six weekends starting in Monza on the 9th & 10th of April. The car for this years championship is the same 2 Liter 220BHP Alfa Romeo 147 which was raced in the 2004 Championship.
