After spending the day today working over in another part of Tidewater and getting caught in a significant amount of rain, I decided to ride home by riding south of the metropolitan area and sneak through the country roads and lanes to get home. A longer ride by several miles, there are times where it makes sense to do this, particularly when I know the interstates will be full of the fools, magnified by the heavy rain. Anyway, I was about half way home (15 or so miles left to go) and I saw what appeared to be mud strewed across the road, in wet clumps. I figured a logging truck or something had pulled out earlier and left a deposit. I held my speed, looked straight ahead, and plowed through what proved to be a stinking morass of crap... had to be high grade horse s*** of the finest kind. It was all over the front of my chaps from the knees down, on my boots, underneath both heads, "strewed" through the jungles of the exhaust pipes, and even some "puddles" of the stuff were on my tank, so I could enjoy. You know, whoever is running things must really have a sense of humor. Thirty yards later, the rain stopped, and the sun came out. Thought I would share...
