Can anyone tell me the bike Barry Sheene was riding when he won his first British 500cc championship in 1972 (i think).

I know coz I bought it in 1977.

Well, Bellyman, you certainly like to test people. I know he won the FIM 750 series in 1973 and the GP500 world champoinships in 1976 and 1977 on a RG500, but they mention nothing of his national level achievements in my books.

A wild guess would be a Titan based Suzuki 500 twin. But it could be so many different bikes, even a British single or twin.

I think it takes a little more to become a genious. Like solving this, perhaps :D

There is only one answer so you'll know when you've got it.

Einstein wrote this quiz in the late 1800's, stating that 98% of the people in the world could not solve it. Thought you might like to give it a try also. Be careful, for once you start to solve it, it's very difficult to
stop!!! After you get it...(if you are part of the 2%) please pass it on

Facts:
1. There are five houses in a row in five different colors.
2. In each house lives a person with a different nationality
3. These five owners drink a certain beverage, smoke a certain brand of tobacco, and keep a certain pet.
4. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of tobacco, or drink the same beverage.

Here is the question: Who owns the fish?

Hints:
1. The Brit lives in a red house.
2. The Swede keeps dogs
3. The Dane drinks tea.
4. The green house is on the left of the white house.
5. The green house owner drinks coffee.
6. The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill
8. The man living in the house right in the center drinks milk.
9. The Norwegian lives in the first house.
10. The man who smokes Blend lives next to the one who keeps cats.
11. The man who keeps horses lives next to the one who smokes Dunhill.
12. The owner who smokes Blue Master drinks beer.
13. The German smokes Prince.
14. The Norwegian lives next to the Blue house.
15. The man who smokes Blend has a neighbor who drinks water.

;)

Took me about half'n'hour to solve, but I'm no good at this kind of stuff. In fact, I'm not fond of riddles at all http://www.eforecourt.com/UBB/disturbed.gif

But it was achallenge I couldn't resist http://www.eforecourt.com/UBB/bounce.gif

Well folks the mans a genius.

Helmets off to Erik.
Your wild guess was spot on.
The bike was actually identical but for a few modifications to the standard Suzuki GT 500A.(mainly to the frame and dampers).

A marvelous 2 stroke twin which when launched by Suzuki was described as a touring bike.
My 500 burned the arses of the RD 400 Yamaha's and even when the LC 350's came out was easily outpacing them as well.

Well done Erik.
