coolant leak in corsa

Hi , just new to this forum
I've noticed over the last week that the coolant reservoir in my 98 1.0 corsa has been losing a bit. not much tho. and also when i put on the heater in the car there is a strong smell of coolant from the heat. it gets worse as i turn the heater up

have you noticed if the carpet in the footwell inide the car is damp??? if not check,,,sounds to me like you may have a heater matrix water leak,,,the smell your getting is anti-freeze drying after it has leaked when the heater gets hot,,,if not its possible to have a small leak somewhere else in the system near to the bulkhead so the smell is being drawn in through the fresh ainr vents before its heated by the heater.have god look around unde the bonnet preferably with the engine running.
