Hello
Living and have a car in the UK for nearly two years. Will be bringing it back home with me in the next month.
Does anyone know the process for registering a UK car in Ireland?
MOT coming up here in April but coming home in March. Does anyone know if its an advantage getting an MOT done in the UK before going back home or will an NCT test have to be done anyway as my cars over three years old and a UK MOT is not recognised?
For anyone in the same situation as me you can cross over your insurance ok even though the car has a UK registration plate on it.
Scanning the net it looks that I've got to keep the car for at least one year before selling it to avoid the VRT. Also can't buy another car here as it'll be less then six months old so VRT will have to be paid.
A lot of guff above but if anyone can help that'd be great.:)
