Nissan Wiper Problem

My wipers are acting up - If I select intermittent they will stop at about half cycle and if I press them again they will complete the cycle.
Another problem with them is that sometimes when I spray water on windscreen, they should perform 3 cycles but sometimes they remain on even if I move the arm to the on and the off position?
Could I be having wiper motor problems?
If so, can anyone tell me where the best place to buy a replacement is Nissan (€300+VAT), scrap yard (hard to find) or other?

Any help would be appreciated.

What car is it?

We know it's a Nissan - but not the model or the age.

It's a Nissan Primera 1.6 Sri 1999 (Old Style)

At 7 years old, they should be starting to pop up in breakers yards.

Phone round a few local ones and see if you get any joy.
