I managed to catch some of the bike action over the weekend, and I must say I'm starting to get into the races a bit more now. The commentary on Eurosport certainly adds to the atmosphere.

This guy Rossi though, he appears to be a bit of a joker http://www.eforecourt.com/UBB/clown1.gif (as well as a good driver). Didn't he nip into a portable cabin on track last year after winning a GP, and reappear in a superman outfit? (Or am I dreaming?) Does he do this often, and has he got up to any other interesting antics in the past?

You remember correctly. And once he took on his friend as a passenger after winning a race - the friend dressed up like a chicken (he runs a chicken farm). Rossi has also entered the podium in a chicken t-shirt and adverticed for his friend, and he has clean shaven the top of his head, but left some hair lower down as if he was balding etc etc. The coolest stunt he did was when he, after a race win, put on an inflatable *** doll version of Brooke Shields (I think) after Max Biaggi had boosted about dating said woman. Came down well with the fans but never with Max :D
