The Renault Sport Clio (172bh) just beats the Seat Leon (180bhp). Quite right too, although personally I'd take the Leon because I think the Clio looks quite culldly and girly in a Y'arse like way.

But 172 bhp and 180 bhp? Hey, maybe its time to actually take notice of these little beasts. They are now more powerful than a 323Ci or a Celica. Has anyone driven either?

I have to say Justin, I was watching Top Gear aswell and the Seat Leon looked like a great car. Pity they had a yellow one. :(

Plently of horses under the bonnet to get yo u out of any overtaking problems. I have to say I was impressed. Nice looks and speed aswell. Nice one Seat!

I've been keeping an eye on this one all right. You can find out more here at Seat's home site (http://leon.seat.com). Speaking to a Seat dealer recently, I inquired as to how much the 180bhp version would be. I was astonished at the reply - "About £20,000"!. Now there's a bargain. Considering it uses exactly the same engine as the entry point Audi TT, and the fact that it actually uses the same underpinnings (A3 / Golf / Octavia et all), I wonder how it would actually compare to the Audi TT itself? (apart from looks that is ;)). It certainly looks like a Golf GTI eater though. I suppose it could be the dawn of a new cult following . I wonder do they have some cool badge on the back like 'Leon ATI' (Awesome Turbo Injection) http://www.eforecourt.com/UBB/smoke.gif

I dunno, the Leon is good value for money but you got to have some style as well, at least on the interior. The inside of the Leon looked terrible but I guess that's how they keep the price down innit?

Yeah your right there, the standard black A4 interior is a bit dull. No white dials, no colour trim, infact no colour at all.
