Herbert to leave F1 :). Apparently he attended a ChampCar race in Michigan over the weekend, hinting at a possible switch to Champ over to the States.

Fisichella has been given a free lease from Benetton to negotiate a possible contract with other teams for next season. Its been rumoured that Jag would like him on board to replace Herbert.

Wurz has had a dismal year so far, and hasn’t been able to impress his current team. Its rumoured he'll be dropped, as Renault will went top-notch drivers when the Benetton team become Renault-F1. Where does he go to then?

Following the above 2 rumours, Benetton may poach Frenzten as a replacement. With the previous success Renault has scored over the years in F1, this makes a move to the future Renault owned team all the more attractive.

Villeneuve has been linked to many teams, including Benetton. But now he's signed up with BAR for another three years, so he's staying put for now.

Prost is in negotiations with Renault for an engine deal. The French F1 team are less than happy with their current Peugeot engine, and need to source a new one for next season.

Salo to move to Toyota in 2002. Apparently Toyota have offered him a four year deal, and he may even join at the end of this year to help in the cars development. This would leave a position available at Sauber.

Button to leave Williams. Williams appear to be hell-bent on signing up Montoya, leaving the new kid on the block teamless. Maybe he'll replace Salo if he leaves Sauber at the end of the season?
