Has anyone noticed that the windscreens on recent Renaults look like there has been oil spilt on them.
Anybody know why this is?
Yeah smokie. I think this is for the sun. It cuts down the glare from the sun when driving.
It's better than those stupid strips that go across the top of the windscreen.

Yep, its a development made by Renault, and AFAIK, is an 'extra' you can get on any Renault (may be standard on new models?). What is actually does is make the front windscreen into a giant pair of shades  http://www.eforecourt.com/UBB/smoke.gif, but IMO I think it looks cat from the outside http://www.eforecourt.com/UBB/sick.gif .

Aa far as I knew it was illegal to have any tint on the front screen covering anything over 20%,or 20% of a tint overall.I thought the Renault screens had UV filters built in, so they look odd from the outside but are perfectly clear to look out through.
