The gizmo in today’s Irish Times looks useful for once. The PARK-ZONE is an ultrasonic sensor that will help you avoid those nasty tips when reversing. The gizmo uses a traffic light system of red, amber and green lights. I take it the green mean nothing in range, orange, take it easy, and red STOP!! Its said to have a range of 5 meters to 15 centimetres. It can be purchased in the Gadget Shop in the Jervis St. shopping centre in Dublin city centre, or you can visit their web site (http://www.gadgetshop.com). I didn’t notice the gadget on their web site, but the article in the Times says it costs around £50. Not a bad purchase IMHO, especially if you drive a big saloon thats hard to judge.
