View Full Version : Buying Alloys
Im looking for a bit of advive on buying alloy wheels for a 96 nissan micra. I am thinking about puting 15 inch alloys on the car as they would look pretty cool. i'm just a bit worried about the fact that the suspension is very soft and tends to roll alot. would there be a chance of the wheel arches hiting of the wheels when cornering with 5 hefty people on the car. any advice would be apreciated, tanx.............

Right this is a plant by Anders or someone ???
Your not seriously going to try and fit 15"s to a Micra and claim to fit five blokes in it as well...
Your more likely to tear the arse out of the car before your tyres destroy your arches, you may get some outer lip rubbing but I doubt it
Anders???
No, i was told that i could fit 15" alloys on it, would they not be ok if i stiffened up the suspension with harder springs, and put low-profile tyres on the alloys??

Is it possible to fit 5 people in a Micra? ;)

If your gonna spend money on a car wait until you can afford a car that deserves having 15" alloys.
Nothing loks more rediculous than a 1.0l mirca with big wheels tinted windows & 5 lads in it.
If you do spend the money on it, It'll make no difference to the resale value, you'll be tarred with the Boyracer image, nd at the end of it you'll realise what a waste of money it was.
That said it your decision & money not mine.

I've just noticed, I'm running 15's successfully on my Golf (now for sale) Mk III with no problems even with 7 people in it .. I always thought I was running 14's ahhh well
