View Full Version : Drivin!!!!
A question people, do you feel that the scoring on the Drivin 100 has gone to pot over the last few weeks?? I get the feeling sometimes that manufactors have "paid or what ever you want to call it ;)" to boost up their ratings in the Drivin 100. The first big dissapointment for me was the scoring with the Passat, Mondeo and the Laguana. I feel that the Mondeo scored way too much compared to the other two cars. Again Ford score high in the Drivin 100 last night even though the car was no where near the other two.
What's all that about????? Does anyone else feel the same or am I standing in the corner of the carpark all by my self.

Yes Phil, I had the exact same thought while watching last nights show. The Puma certainly lagged behind the Saxo VTS and Lupo Gti, but then why score it so close when the gap between it and the others warranted a lower score? For example, the Puma obviously demonstrated inferiority during the Driveability test, but scored 15 behind the Saxo (16) and Lupo (17). The difference in handling between it and the Saxo was far greater that the Saxo and Lupo, so why give it only 1 point less?? Come on Driven, whats going on?

Without being Xenophobic etc., it's English what do you realistically expect like ?

What a shame that this has happened to Drivin. This is far my favorite car program on T.V at the mow, and they have to go and let the program down by being afraid of giving the hard facts, incase they might upset a manufacture.
Come on Drivin get with it man....
The scoring again, was all over the shop in Drivin. I got the feeling the Alfa importers handed over a brown paper bag to the presenters to help sell the 147 in the UK.
If importers are reading this thread, well we also accept all types of brown paper bags. ;)

Well I couldn't understand last nights ratings at all!!!
The Alfa 147 was said to have great passenger room in the back - WTF?? Every other review I've seen and read say the exact opposite! And did U notice that the guy in the back was sitting behind the passenger seat (which had Penny) in the Alfa, yet sat behind the driver (Mike) in the other two!!!
Also no mention of the uncomfortable ride on inferior road surfaces or the supposed bad turning circle – all of which make it a supposedly bad city car.
And the brown paper bags? Well that’s another story altogether!! ;)
