Whiplash, I don't know if you've seen/heard about this one, but Ken's taken it upon himself to censor a post which had a link to your site. I replied to the thread on the MW forums about the Rover sale by BMW, and gave the link to your news story as you have it right there, spot on. He's trying to say that the link was broken and that’s his lame excuse, but sure I tested it myself after posting and it worked fine. I posted it yet again with the same working URL address (tested again!), so keep an eye out to see what happens. I tell you one thing thats no way to threat a new member, so its not.

It's a bad time for us adlibbing motorists :(

Skid marks, we were in the middle of a server reorganisation earlier, and its possible that links were down at varies stages during the day. As it says in the About Us section, we're providing this site to the Irish motorist while we are carrying out our construction phase, so this may happen from time to time.

As regards censorship on other sites, well I'm afraid I won't be getting involved in that issue and you will have to take it up with the appropriate site owners.

Skid marks,

I've just ventured over to MW to check out the thread. Nothing wrong looking there and I can only see one post from you anyway.

I suggest that in future if you have anything like this again that you contact the relevant people via email rather then make a fool of yourself on these forums.

Crikey lads, Skid Marks is Whiplash. Are ye that stupid? That's how this site operates. Whiplash was burning with desire to rant about this "broken link" comment about Motorweb but couldn't, given his position here as administrator, so in comes new member Skid Marks and makes the point for him.

If you read both posts again, Skids + Whiplash, in succession, you'll be left wondering which one is the more childish. It's just a small step away from talking to yourself in an empty room - and you know where those people end up.

Deirdre.

ROFL :D

Deirdre, I may have been tyrannical and mad during my MW days, but I’m afraid you’ve let your imagination run away with yourself on this one. I’ve a lot more important things to be doing with my time, both professionally and personally speaking.

Whatever - according to MWEB the access block used by SkidMarks was the same one used in the past by the member formerly known as Whiplash. No coincidence I think. Hence the confusion.

Sorry to dig up an old topic but I only saw this today while searching through some "older" topics. Up til now I've been a silent member...watching for prey http://www.eforecourt.com/UBB/evil.gif

I have to say now...I don't care much about this topic...censorship is something that sometimes has to be done, every webmaster agrees that. It happened over on AutoPoint, it happened on MotorWeb and I have no doubt that it either has or will happen here so DROP IT!

As for Deirdre, I have to say that I'd agree with her...chances are Whiplash and Skid Marks are the same person but that is for a good reason, often webmasters receive a lot of hassle and get their website in trouble for saying things that they shouldn't. Whiplash is trying to show a distinction between his opinions and those of his website, a practice which I think is fair.

I have to say James, that the subject had long being dropped. Infact I had forgotton all about this thread and what it detailed.

I am more interested in new topics rather than topics discussed 'yesterayear' So comeon and get posting on some new topics. Looking forward to chat with you in the future.
