I was in a friends house yesterday, when I heard what I thought was a big motorcycle engine revving in the driveway. Of course, I had to get up and have a look out the window, but my jaw literally dropped when I saw what was outside. A beautiful red 1954 Jaguar XK 120 !! WOW!
This was the absolute highlight of the weekend. (it put the chinese meal & Mummy Returns night-out to shame!!)
It seems the car was residing in Florida for a good few years before getting shipped back here. Originally it was white, but the previous owner sprayed it RED! Sh1t-Hot!
The car was imaginatively called XK 120 because of the top speed.
My only disappointment with the car is that I didn't get to take it out for a spin - but then, I didn't really know the owner that well. What's a bloke to do!!
