It may be a coincidence, but I’ve actually come across several sites dedicated to modding the Honda Civic over the past few days. As there’s no Irish Honda site, I was searching for information on said car and the Accord.
Apparently its quite popular for the boyracers over in the states too. The main advantages are that the car is relatively cheap to buy in the first place, and its also very easy to mod without encountering engine problems etc because of its quality build. IMHO, the hatch can actually look very good indeed if the job is done correctly.
I remember that this car was once tagged as being a Chinese food delivery vehicle, and many a member was quite offended by this notion. Wouldn’t I be correct in saying that our old friend Deirdre O’Connell owned one before her topless BMW? :p

<FONT face="Comic Sans MS">Since no-one has stirred this one up here goes, Jap performance cars are up there with the best if not the best in the world. But as far as modifying them goes, they seem to lack style and panache, they seem to be all spoiler and blacked out windows .. no substance, there is something lacking. For example if you put a modified Golf beside a modified Civic and you'll understand me .... Personally I wouldn't urinate on a Civic if it was on fire

I had a Modified Corrado and a mate had a modified Integra. As far as character goes - the Honda isnt at the races!!
I proved the point by us going to a local Nightclub and parking outside @ 2am. The look of disgust on his face was well worth it!! http://www.eforecourt.com/UBB/naughty.gif
Then a Scooby parked in the middle and blew both of us out of the water.. :(
Needless to say, not as much variety in the punani as I expected that night!!

<FONT face="Comic Sans MS">Brian you say you had a slammed Corrado .. is it gone ??? Also as I've finally gotten some cash together and I intend on doing some tasty mods to my golf is there any performance mods ya reccommend that don't cost the earth that would work on a Mk3 1.4 Golf ?

An Alfa nah two Blackrockey not my style, A Civic nah not likely, a Focus  Never .. An Astra nope let me get my Pipe so what would you suggest for a mid twenties Web designer with one years NCB in a few months ??

Get yer self a little micra, until you learn how to drive LOL,
serious though a 1.6 golf :) Personally if I had to get a nearly new car & Alfa's were out of the question I'd get a mazda323F 1.8 Turbo (not the latest on).
But is it worth putting mods on to a 1.4 golf??? I'd doubt it. But you don't value my opinion much anyways

Any XS PUG (106,205,306)
An old Classic.

Give me some idea of what would suit you.

I'm not talking used..if I'm going used I'd buy a Corrado no questions nothing else, that is the only one I want. But I'm thinking like whats new in the performance stakes out there that is afforadable and yet driveable to the mid twenties internet generation

Nah Leon and Ibizia they seem around Waterford to be cheap alternatives to the Golf .. basically wannabe GTi Drivers .. I went to Windsor Car Auctions yesterday to have a look around ... I think anyone thats going to buy a performance car should go down there and have a look round .. A GTO for 6,800 anyone ?? A 2.2 Prelude for 4,200 ?? Some rough machines there but for the money well worth it .. there were 3 sunny GTI R's one skyline and an RX-7 ...yes hmm I'll have one of them please ..
Theres nothing in the new car market that exictes me that I would say yes please I'll buy that <bar one car and it's an Alfa>
Saw a new MR-2 yesterday as well nah no nice at all the arse looks like a cross between a Boxster (light arrangememnt) and a whatdoyoucallit emm MG Roadster thingy ..
Also this morning caught sight of a Honda S2000 nothing special to look for that sorta money...
So any other ideas guys ??
