Who discovers these tips?? I never would have thought of doing this!!I had to laugh when I found myself trying it out but it actually works! I couldn't believe it but seeing was believing in the end.

If you have chalky white wax marks on your trim or bumpers, here's what to do just before the next time you wash. Rub some peanut butter onto the mark and let it sit for a few minutes. Wash the car and the peanut butter will be gone along with the wax mark. End of problem!!

Give it a shot! It works well. I tried smooth Peanut Butter, but if you only have Nutty in the Kitchen, I'm sure that will work as well. :p !!

It seems to be something to do with the hydrogenated oils!

Later,

Brian.

This was obviously discovered by a yank who was having a snack while cleaning their automobile. Must have dropped some of his contents of his peanut butter and jelly sandwich onto it, and probably wiped it back off with a slice of bread!

Now I wonder what a jam sandwich might clean? ;)

There are some big appetites over State-side alright. They were probably having a peanut butter and Chevy sandwich...:p

However, in most cases so would any petroleum jelly.

It is "masking" the condition most of the time as the part has been permenantly stained by the solvents and components in the wax/sealant or the use of a xylene based solvent.

If it is just a residue of the wax/sealant and have not attacked the coating, then it will safely disolve away the residue.

It's one of those things you gotta try, if it works great, but to check is it was just residue, suggest you wash and dry the part completely to assure that it was just a residue and not damage.
