I was driving along the M50 the other day and was coming off a slip road when I seen these two Flagmen in the distance waving their flags. Nothing strange there I hear you say. So I slowed down to find when I got closer that they were infact dummies with motorised arms.

Has anyone else seen this or where they 2 very pale guys trying out for a new event in the olympics in synchronised flag waving.

Cheers Phil.

Imagine been lost coming down there 3 am in the morning and asking them for directions. Or even better if they were dressed in womans clothes and asking them for a date. Talk about given you the cold shoulder.

At least they would have the arm motion down to a fine art!!!

Cheers Phil.

So what's propelling their arms then? Are then plugged in somewhere, or are they simply wind-propelled?

Also, how do ya know if their 'Flagmen'? Maybe they could be Flagwomen :D

They have to be Flagmen, because if they were woman they would have a man beside them waving the fecking flag for them!!

Maybe there powered by Duracel and are infact those furry bunnies dressed up as workmen waving their flags instead of hitting a drum. This could be part time work.

I always thought that Duracel add took alot of beating. :D :D

If they are FlagWomen surely they are run by wind or hot air ?

If they are FlagWomen could it be said "G'wan love get yer Kit out or this just a wind up ?"

:) :)

So what are these Flagpersons dressed like then? Are then in uniform, or just plain civis?

I'm sure they could Shirls, and if you still had the Yaris, you could have adjusted that famous back seat to accommodate BOTH of them! Imagine! :D :naughty:

Yes indeedy, many hands make light work ...... and spare man's hands without the hassle of having to deal with the rest of the body? Why thats just a present from God above.

Shirls would that then be classed as a automatic car instead of a manual?????

I believe you may be correct there Phil. Though some type of combination of the 2 would be preferable, for example if a little sluggish in picking up the pace and changing gear automatically, a dose of manual intervention may be needed.

Maybe there's a turbo model that would fit the bill there Shirls ;)

Shirls from other threads that Whip has posted in it must be said on the Topic of Turbos he hasn't a clue <Golf Gti Turbo ahem ahem>

So I would suggest that you should see me for some supercharged arm waving and some moaning practice ;) :dizzy: :naughty:

Hmmmmmmm...... do you get more mileage out of the turbo model then?

...but only if its a Turbo Diesel. The disadvantage though with such models is that they tend to be noisier, and servicing costs more. Also, older models tend to spew dirty emissions from their pipes when the owner requires a bit of rapid speed ;)

Shirls ya see Turbo model has more Torque <Pulling Power> thne the normally aspirate model that can run out of puff to early , but an overloaded Turbo Model like Whip for instance that has to endure heavy stress and bear great loads can obviously start having problems <ahem> going the distance, but a well maintained Turbo engine can keep going for ever, once it doesn't get married and start having kids too early ;) :dizzy:
