Due to the bus strike, the increase in cars today on the roads in and around Dublin was incredible. The good thing though, is that most of the cars appeared to be full of passengers, who otherwise would have been stranded at home. The one thing that does spring to mind, however, is the severe lack of parking within the city centre. The increase in clamped cars during the bus strikes must be something serious. What I'd like to know is how do the Government expect an extra 200,000 people to simply ‘arrange’ their own transport, but yet do nothing to help the effort.

IMHO, I reckon no clamping whatsoever should be carried out while the bus drivers are on strike. (And no, I haven’t been a recent victim either!
